According to reports, OnePlus will soon release the OnePlus Nord CE 3. Its alleged renders and specifications have surfaced online ahead of the formal announcement. The smartphone, as the name suggests, will succeed the Nord CE 2, which debuted earlier this year with a MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor and triple rear cameras. The new OnePlus Nord CE 3 is expected to keep the three rear cameras but have a new design.
The renders are courtesy of 91Mobiles and tipper Steve Hemmerstoffer aka OnLeaks. The renders show the OnePlus Nord CE 3 with a hole-punch display and a black finish. According to reports, the rear panel will have two large camera cutouts. The main camera sensor will be housed in the primary cutout, while two sensors will be housed in the secondary cutout.
According to the report, the design of the OnePlus Nord CE 3 appears to be inspired by the brand’s well-known OnePlus X and recent iPhones. It also mentions that the renders are based on a prototype unit and that the actual phone may differ slightly. At launch, OnePlus may also offer more color options.
The smartphone will reportedly have a 6.7-inch IPS LCD display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. This may irritate some customers, as the old-generation Nord CE 2 has an AMOLED display.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset is said to power the OnePlus Nord CE 3, along with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. A 108-megapixel primary camera and two 2-megapixel camera lenses may be included in the triple rear camera system on the back. A 16-megapixel selfie camera could be installed in the front. The Nord CE 3 is also said to have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support, and Android 13.
The OnePlus Nord CE 2 was released in India in February 2022, and the company may follow a similar release pattern for the next Nord phone next year. Pricing information is currently unavailable.
