The Apple AirTags are designed to help you locate your lost keys, wallet, phone, or other small items. The tiny tags utilize Apple’s Find My Friends app to locate where you lost them, and you can also ask Siri. The tagging technology, called Ultra Wideband, works pretty well. We lost some AirTags accidentally, but they quickly located us in Apple’s Find My Friends app; however, we found others that were no longer connected to the app, which showed us that the technology is not as accurate as Apple makes it look in the ads. The tags are waterproof and resistant to dust. They also last a long time. Apple offers a range of colorful accessories, and you can use the AirTags interchangeably across your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. These are a nice, convenient tool for keeping track of your stuff, but they’re probably not as powerful as they advertise themselves to be.

The Airtag Hidden GPS Tracker Case worked great both as a tracking case and a watch. The battery life was good for GPS tracking, with the device lasting about a month. The unit worked great at keeping the kids in line, and the GPS function helped locate them quickly when someone called to report their whereabouts. This device was better than the Kidlogger app we used in the past and is a nice way to keep an eye on your children without having to constantly be checking your phone. The Airtag Hidden GPS Tracker Case is reasonably priced, easy to set up and use, and is durable and lightweight. The only complaint we had was its GPS tracking was not as quick as we would have preferred, but for the price, this is a perfectly serviceable tracker.

In September, Elevation Lab launched what’s probably the world’s thinnest (1.17mm) AirTag wallet holder, which remains one of the best ways to keep your AirTag from falling out. Other cases require that you poke holes through plastic or metal, which can leave your AirTag vulnerable to wear and tear. The Elevation Lab case looks like a regular credit card, but AirTags are not credit cards, so AirTag’s plastic outer layer will not slide inside it. You slip it in through a tiny slot on the back of the case and slide it forward and backward as needed.
