What is our understanding of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series?
According to leaks and rumors, it is virtually certain that the Samsung Galaxy S23 series will include at least three models: the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra.
The most recent Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC is expected to power all three varieties of the Galaxy S23. The Galaxy S23 will be a diminutive flagship, whilst the Galaxy S23 Plus will be a standard-sized handset. Similarly, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will be a premium flagship device with capabilities such as 100x zoom, an integrated S-Pen, and a curved 2K AMOLED display at 120Hz.
The Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus are expected to include a revised camera bump on the back, similar to the one on the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Both models will include a triple camera system with an ultra-wide angle lens, telephoto lens, and wide-angle lens.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra will include a rear quad-camera configuration with a telephoto lens, periscope zoom lens, ultra-wide angle lens, and wide-angle lens. It is anticipated that all three variations will have a new and better ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
Regarding software, these devices will launch with Android 13 and a customized OneUI 5 skin. The Galaxy S23 series of smartphones is anticipated to be priced similarly to the Galaxy S22 series.
